About Our Service Unit - The Poet's Seat Service Unit is part of the Girl
Scouts of Central and Western Mass Council (GSCWM). We encompass the towns of Greenfield, Montague, Gill, Northfield, Erving,
Leyden, and Bernardston. Our purpose is to coordinate Girl Scouting activities in our area, and to facilitate the flow of
information between the Troops in our area and the Council.

Troop Cookie Sale Manager Training - Training for troop level cookie sale
managers will be Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 6:30 pm at the Montague Police Station community room. It is important to have an adult representative
from your troop attend this training, and pick up your cookie packets. If you have any questions, you can call Polly at 774-3893,

Annual Ski & Skate Sale - will be held on December 10 & 11 (Fri.
& Sat.) at St James Episcopal Church on Church St. in Greenfield. Consignment items will be accepted on Thurs., Dec. 9.

Volunteer Essentials Handbook - This is THE BOOK for all
things Girl Scout related. Every Troop needs to have a copy of this handbook. It contains everything you need to know about
Girl Scouts. Make sure your Troop picks up their copy at the next Service Unit meeting.
Safety Wise - The Safety Wise book has been replaced by an updated safety
guide called Safety Activity Checkpoints. It is available on the GSCWM website. Click below to check it out.
